Rail
Fact sheets cover requirements under the rail safety legislation and issues of interest to the rail industry. The Rail Safety Act 2008 commenced on 1 January 2009 and replaced the Rail Safety Act 2002.
Transitional arrangements for the Rail Safety Act 2008 are in place for certain requirements including rail safety worker competency, rail or road crossing interface agreements, private sidings and safety management systems.
