Seat Belts on School Buses Report 2004

This report contains the deliberations of the NSW School Bus Safety Working Group which was established in late 2003 by the former Minister for Transport Services. The Terms of Reference for the Working Group sought to identify concerns and examine practical and potential solutions regarding the safety of school bus travel, in particular seat belts.

The recommendations of the report are based on long term solutions, involving a whole of Government and nationally consistent approach.

As the Working Group has completed its deliberations, this issue has now been transferred to the Ministry of Transport. The Ministry is responsible for the regulation of the NSW bus industry and can be contacted by email or visiting its website.
