Publications
ITSR has a statutory responsibility to publish information that it deems necessary for the safe operation of the NSW transport system.
Reports
ITSR publishes annual rail safety and corporate reports; quarterly reports on the implementation of the NSW Government's response to the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Waterfall rail accident, and ad hoc publications on safety issues.
Transport safety alerts
Transport safety alerts are issued as needed to inform accredited rail transport operators and the broader rail industry of current and emerging safety issues.
Transport safety bulletins
Transport safety bulletins are published to promote improved safety performance in transport services. Bulletins provide more detail on specific safety topics, based on research and data, to inform the NSW transport industry and the wider transport community.
Information alerts
Until July 2010, information alerts provided the rail industry with information about ITSR events, policy changes and other regulatory developments. Matters concerning rail safety that were previously raised through an Information alert now appear as items on the news and events page of the ITSR website.
Presentations, case studies and papers
ITSR publishes presentations,case studies and papers that its staff have presented at events or had published in journals and magazines.
