Load Irregularities
Load Irregularities are precursor safety occurrences – events which could, under specific circumstances, lead to an accident. For example, loads that shift in transit may protrude from wagons and pose a collision hazard for passing trains or infrastructure.
The OC-G1 classification scheme includes a new subcategory, loose load fastening. Data for this subcategory were not previously reported. However, 2005-08 records have been revised in line with the new definition and are shown below as a distinct category in addition to previously reported data.
